Hi there! I’m delighted to become a part of the Crystal Peake family and to take part in the growth of the author section of the website. How about we introduce ourselves and share a little about our writing here?
My work has been published by DualBooks, Anchala Studios, New Lit Salon Press, Fincham Press, and DIVA Magazine. I’m ecstatic that Crystal Peake will publish my debut novel! A YA comic fantasy, it tells the story of a teenage musician who must navigate the parallel world of Old England in order to stop the ritualistic killing of his girlfriend.
Please feel free to follow me on Twitter @charladybyrne. I’m looking forward to meeting some of you and hearing about your experiences and work!

Hi Charlotte (and everyone)
It’s really nice to meet you! I think it’s a great idea to have an introductory page for everyone to get to know each other a little better.
Congratulations on the novel, it sounds incredible! I’m really looking forward to it π
I’m Tarana, I’ve been writing for many years but haven’t published anything until recently with Crystal Peake. They are very special to me because it’s the first piece of my writing to become published and I am as well as my practically everyone I know is pleasantly surprised and happy for me. I am one of the proud authors of the book Tales of the Forgotten World.
I am currently working on another story (fictional) and hoping to complete it soon. It’s about this woman and her life written in reverse, so the time keeps on going backwards. I’ve already planned and structured how to write and already in the process of writing it.
Feel free to follow me on Twitter @TaranaBegum
I hope to hear from other authors too! π Happy writing!

Hi Tarana! Lovely to meet you. Congratulations on your first publication in Tales of the Forgotten World! I still haven’t had a chance to read the collection, but I’m looking forward to it.
Your life-in-reverse story sounds really interesting π Are you taking part in Camp NaNoWriMo at all?
Hopefully some more of Crystal Peake’s authors will join us here soon! I’m excited to hear about everyone’s experiences.

Hi Charlotte,
Thank you and I hope you enjoy it, do give an honest review – I’m always opened to constructive criticism. π
I am not taking part in the Camp NaNoWriMo, I wish I could but at the moment it’s not the best timing for me. I am just writing at my own pace at the moment. π
How is your writing going?
Also Alice it’s nice to meet you and congratulations on becoming one of the winners of the folklore competition! π I hope everything goes well with your novel and looking forward to hearing more updates on your story.

Hi everyone! Glad to see there’s an introduction page, would be nice to get to know people π
I’m Alice, I don’t have any novels published (yet!) but my short fairy tale about selkies was one of the winners of the Crystal Peake folklore contest, so it’s in the works! At the moment I’m working on my first novel, but I’m not at the publishing stage with that just yet! I’m hoping to get there by the end of the year.

Hi everyone! It’s nice to meet you. I’m so glad to be here and I can’t wait to get to know all of you. Much like Tarana, I have my work published in the book Tales of the Forgotten World (2 short stories). I love fiction, and especially fantasy, so that’s the genre I use in my writing as well. My current work in progress is a collection of short stories that take place in a fictional world I called Gwine, featuring the main characters from the main story. I thought it a good idea to glimpse into their past and especially on their childhood so that I get a better grasp of their life goals and personality. That’s me as an author in a nutshell I suppose. π

Hi Tarana – will do, when I get around to reading it! My TBR pile is huge at the moment… In terms of writing, it’s been a poor few weeks! How about you?
Hi Alex, it’s great to meet you! Looking forward to reading your Forgotten World stories, and I can’t wait to hear more about the world of Gwine! How is it going?

Hi Charlotte! So far so good with writing. It’s going slowly, but it’s better than nothing. Right now I’m focusing more on world building and character development than the storyline itself, which also make up my Camp NaNoWriMo project for this July. So excited about it! Have you got any news to share?

Nice! I think your Camp NaNoWriMo might be going better than mine :’) those are the best parts! No news at the moment, just plodding along trying to balance writing and work. I’m currently juggling two projects, including a sequel to the novel CP are going to publish. I think I enjoyed the world of Old England and the characters too much to leave!

Hi Everyone! I’m very excited to be part of Crystal Peak Publishing. My short story based off the Little Mermaid for the Folklore Retelling will be my first publication ever! I am currently seeking representation for a YA novel about ghost hunters, psychics and the supernatural/paranormal. I’ve only just started, so still a little hesitant on sending queries out. Other than that, I have a number of other manuscripts on the go, just finished a YA fantasy for Camp NaNo, and there’s a pile from previous NaNoWriMo’s that call to me to come back and edit at night.

I’m so glad to see other writers’ adventure to their works. I’ve actually just joined the NaNoWriMo family and also the Camp NaNoWriMo too. I’m hoping this will get me to write more and maybe even finish my story. I’m setting a personal goal of completing my book by my birthday which may be unrealistic but I am determined to stay positive and make it happen, hopefully. π
@Alex your story sounds so interesting and I have to agree with Charlotte, the parts your working on are definitely the fun parts! π I hope you’re making good progress.
@Charlotte I hope your managing with your writing and work it’s always difficult to balance the two I’ve heard from many.
@McKay congratulations! I’m really happy to hear that you are one of the winners π It’s definitely a huge motivation to progressing with your writing! I know it did for me π
I hope all your writing adventures are going well and if anyone needs any help I’m happy to help out π
Happy Writing,
Tarana

Hi everyone,
I’m Heather (very much a newbie sign up with CP). I’ve just started working with CP to publish my debut novel- pretty sure the ink’s still wet on the contract but couldn’t wait to say hello. My Novel is a YA murder mystery with an emphasis on the darker side of things. By darker side, I mean picture girl interrupted meets drop dead Fred. It’s strange but in a fun way.
I’m prepping to start the sequel over Nano if I can find a way to balance writing, work, and university.
I attempted last year but managed a grand total of 941 for the month- not my most productive month.
This year there’ll be a plan…hopefully.Feel free to keep in touch, it’ll be nice to get to know this little family a bit better. And by all means, if my nursing experience can help with any projects you have on the go please let me know.

Evening all!
@NJMcKay – Welcome! Congratulations on your story – I’m very excited to read your mermaid retelling and to potentially hear more about your ghost hunters! Can we find you on Twitter or anywhere online?
@Tarana – I hope NaNo was somewhat successful! It is quite difficult to balance work and writing, but it’s doable. Just about keeping sane!@Heather – Welcome! Congratulations on signing your contract. Murder mysteries are always interesting! I totally get trying to balance everything and hope you’re managing.
Do you guys follow Crystal Peake’s social media channels? It seems everyone at HQ is working really hard to promote their releases (including Forced In Between – congratulations, Alex!) and it would be great if we could support them as well as each other! π
