Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, N. J. McKay graduated from Fanshaw College in 2005. Her first career was in the production department at a local newspaper where she worked for ten years with amazing people. Her love of writing started when a friend pulled her into writing forum where she expanded her skill, passion and confidence in the written word. Since then she participated in writing challenges and worked on honing her craft.
A huge geek, N.J. gathers most of her inspiration from the pop culture of anime, video games, movies and books. She loves reading anything that is fantasy related, devours anime constantly and play as many video games as her schedule allows.
In 2018, she married her husband and their geekiness doubled. Today they live happily together, supporting each other in their everyday lives.
