Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, I had a great childhood with loving parents and an awesome younger brother. I graduated from Fanshawe College in 2005 with a Graphic Design diploma. My first career was in the production department at a local newspaper where I worked with some wonderful people.
It wasn’t until a friend pulled me into a Star Wars themed forum that I found a way to expand my confidence, skill and passion with my writing. From there I knew I wanted to do more writing and discovered NaNoWriMo in 2011. After my first win I knew there were stories in my head that I wanted to get out and my writing career started. I learned a lot through my years writing at NaNoWriMo, the most important is to keep writing and don’t edit until the end. I expanded my outlet to a blog where I started reviewing shows, movies and even posting short stories and fan fiction over the years.
I’m a huge geek and most of my inspiration comes from the pop culture I consumed over the years including anime, video games, movies and books. I’m a huge Marvel fan, love reading anything fantasy related, devour anime and manga as often as I can (Cowboy Bepop, Bleach, Ghost Hunt, and Sword Art Online to name a few), and play video games (Uncharted, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Minecraft) in whatever spare time I can find. They all give me inspiration in their own unique way on characters and stories I one day want to get down on paper.
I married my husband in 2018 and together our geekiness is doubled. Today we live happily in Waterloo, Ontario Canada and support each other in our everyday lives.
